Leh, Oct 04: Lauding people of Ladakh for exercising restraint and cooperating with the administration, Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta on Saturday asked the security agencies to ensure that peace is not disturbed.

Chairing a high-level security review meeting to assess the prevailing security scenario in Ladakh, LG Gupta, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said, “The cooperation and resilience of the people are instrumental in restoring normalcy in the region.”

He stressed the importance of continued coordination with security agencies to maintain peace, harmony, and stability in Ladakh. “Administration is committed to maintaining peace, safety, and stability across Ladakh,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

The security meeting, according to the officials, also discussed the roadmap for phased relaxation of restrictions, emphasising that any easing of measures would be implemented carefully, and balancing public safety with resumption of routine socio-economic activities. (KNO)
