Srinagar, Dec 01: In a major strike against the narco–terror supply chain, Pulwama Police achieved a remarkable success today by arresting two drug peddlers and seizing a huge consignment of 1 kg 130 grams of brown sugar–like substance during a routine checking operation.

According to a statement, a vigilant police party of PP Rahmoo, while conducting a naka at Rahmoo Bridge, intercepted a suspicious Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK09D-7662. The swift response and professional action of the naka team led to the detention of the vehicle’s occupants, who were identified as 1. Muneer Ahmed Shiek, S/O Abdul Hameed Shiek, R/O Hajitra Karna 2. Toufeeq Ahmed Shiek, S/O Mohammad Rafiq Shiek, R/O Hajitra Karna.

During the thorough search of the vehicle, the naka team recovered a massive quantity of contraband *1 kg 130 grams* of brown sugar–like substance, thereby foiling an attempt to push a large narcotic consignment into the district. The seized contraband carries a high value in the illegal market, making this operation a major setback for the drug Network. The Tata Mobile vehicle used in the commission of the offence was also seized on the spot.

Taking swift legal action, FIR No. 124/2025 under Sections 8, 21 & 29 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Rajpora. The investigation has been set into motion to identify the entire supply chain, including the source and intended receivers of the consignment.

This successful operation once again highlights the commitment, alertness, and determination of Pulwama Police in its war against drugs. The police urges the public to stay vigilant and continue supporting efforts to completely dismantle drug networks that threaten the lives and future of youth—(KNO)
