Man dies after hit by vehicle in Qazigund

Qazigund, Dec 01: A 65-year-old man was killed after being hit by a vehicle in the Nipora area of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, officials said.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the accident occurred when the man was hit on Jammu- Srinagar National Highway.

He sustained critical injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries,” he said.

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Ahad Khanday (65), son of Abdul Khaliq Khanday of Nipora, Qazigund. Police have taken cognisance of the incident. (KNO)
