New Delhi, Dec 02: The Centre on Tuesday informed the Lok Sabha that more than 2.05 crore youth registered themselves on the ‘MY Bharat’ platform since its launch in November 2023, aimed at connecting young citizens with experiential learning and volunteering opportunities.

The details, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), were shared in a written reply by Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.

According to the Ministry, registrations on the portal stand at 2,05,80,565, with detailed break-ups provided State/UT-wise, age-group-wise, gender-wise and rural/urban category-wise.

The Government said that the highest share of registrations nationally falls in the 15–29 age bracket at 88.01 percent, followed by 11.34 percent among youth aged 29 and above, while 0.65 percent belongs to the 0–15 age group. In terms of gender, 55.64% of the registered youth are male and 44.31% are female, while 0.05% identify as others. Around 68.39% of the total registrants are from rural areas.

The reply stated that the number of volunteering opportunities published and youth participation on the portal has increased steadily since 2023. State-wise year-wise figures of opportunities published, youth applied and participation have been placed in Annexure II.

Major contributors include Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

The Minister also shared the count of institutional partnerships built through the platform. Since inception, a total of 29,512 partners / MY Bharat Organisations (MBOs) have been registered.

These include 2,687 government organisations, 9,744 knowledge institutions, 432 for-profit organisations, 306 not-for-profit organisations and 16,343 youth clubs.

Regarding engagement, 24,82,862 registered youth have participated in at least one experiential learning or volunteering activity so far, the reply stated.

This includes participation across opportunities and events such as the Unity March 2025 – Sardar@150, Civil Defence Volunteer registrations, Constitution Day pledges, and Anti-Addiction campaigns.

The overall youth engagement percentage across all activities stands at 12 percent.

The Ministry said the portal continues to act as a national framework to encourage youth participation in nation-building activities. (KNO)
