Srinagar, Dec 11: As part of smooth flight operations, Srinagar International Airport facilitated the departure of 180 Umrah passengers to Ahmedabad on Thursday, ensuring seamless check-in and boarding arrangements in coordination with IndiGo Airlines.

According to details available, airport authorities wished the pilgrims an “auspicious journey,” stressing harmony and the spirit of travel.

“Religion does not teach us to harbor enmity among ourselves; we are Hindi, our homeland is Hindustan,” the airport shared in a post as the passengers departed in IndiGo flight 6E 6266,

The departure comes on a day when the airport faced operational challenges, leading to the cancellation of at least five flights.

According to airport officials, four IndiGo flights were affected, including services to Amritsar, Delhi, Kolkata and another to Delhi. Additionally, one SpiceJet flight to Delhi was also cancelled.

Passengers affected by the cancellations were advised to contact the respective airlines for rebooking and further assistance.

Airport officials also urged travellers to stay updated via airline notifications for timely information regarding operational changes—(KNO)
