SAMBA, DECEMBER 17: An awareness programme on the schemes of the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department was organised here Wednesday.

The programme, as per an official statement, was conducted under the guidance of the District Development Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan and under the supervision of Assistant Director FCS&CA  Rahul Gupta.

The event witnessed wide and diverse participation, including Fair Price Shop (FPS) dealers, Supervisors of Mission POSHAN, Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), representatives from the Education Department, and beneficiaries from different sections of society. The active participation reflected strong inter-departmental coordination and meaningful community engagement.

During the course of the programme, beneficiaries appreciated the proactive role of the FCS&CA Department, particularly highlighting the timely distribution of food grains, enhanced transparency, and effective grievance redressal mechanisms.

The DDC emphasised the importance of transparency, accountability and strict adherence to laid-down guidelines in the implementation of welfare schemes. She stressed the need to leverage technology, strengthen monitoring at the grassroots level, and ensure last-mile delivery without leakages, while calling upon all stakeholders to work with integrity and a strong sense of public service.

The programme concluded with an interactive session, reiterating the district administration’s commitment to people-centric governance, awareness generation, and the efficient delivery of essential services.
