BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 19: District Administration Bandipora conducted a comprehensive social audit in various Halqa Panchayats of Poshan Project Hajin, Sumbal, Bandipora, and Gurez to ensure transparency and accountability in the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme.
The social audit, as per an official statement, covered numerous areas, including Garoora B, Garoora A, Chitaybandi A, Aragam GP, Kehma, Quil A, Quil B, Malangam A, Malangam D, Khayar, Pazalpora A, Mantrigam, Kralpora, Pazalpora B, Pnagam A, Pnagam B, Turkpora, Putushai, Panzigam, Kaloosa Ward No. 11, Ward No. 12, Qazipora, Watapora A, B & C, Gundpora, C A Khan, Ward No. 2, 5, 7, 8, & 9, Ajas A, B, C, & D, and S K Payeen, among others, demonstrating the district administration’s commitment to reaching out to the most vulnerable sections of society.
The Department of ICDS prepared a set of 135 questionnaires and provided them to social auditing officers to gather feedback from stakeholders. The social audit, which began on December 15, 2025, saw enthusiastic participation from stakeholders in the first five days.
Grievances, feedback, and questionnaires were documented, recorded, and read out in public, ensuring transparency and accountability of ICDS services.
The discussions during the social audit also helped raise awareness about the scheme. People appreciated the district administration’s initiative, saying it gave them an opportunity to voice their problems and find solutions.
