ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 19: The Good Governance Week (Sushasan Saptah-2025), under the flagship campaign “Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore,” being organised by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, commenced Friday in Anantnag.
As part of the week-long initiative, as per an official statement, special camps are being organised by the Administration at the district, sub-division, and tehsil/block levels across the district.
On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, senior officers of the district administration have been designated as Visiting Officers to interact with citizens and listen to their grievances for prompt redressal.
The focus areas of the campaign include enrolment and registration of eligible beneficiaries, grievance redressal, and dissemination of best practices in good governance. Emphasis is also being laid on enhancing service delivery and quality through online platforms and other innovative mechanisms.
On the first day, a mega public outreach programme was held at Town Hall Achabal, which was presided over by ADDC, Sandeep Singh Bali and attended by ACD and Tehsildar Anantnag, BDO, SDAO, TSWO, officers and officials from line departments, besides civil society members and the general public.
Similar community outreach programmes were held in subdivisions, tehsils, and blocks of the district.
The camps witnessed large participation from the general public, civil society members, and social organisations, who hailed the initiative of getting their concerns addressed.
The District Administration reaffirmed its commitment to a community-driven and citizen-centric approach to governance through such initiatives.
