PULWAMA, DECEMBER 20: As part of the week-long celebrations of Sushasan Saptah under the nationwide campaign “Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore”, the District Administration Pulwama Saturday organised a series of grievance redressal camps at multiple locations across the district to strengthen citizen-centric governance and ensure prompt delivery of public services.

A mega grievance redressal camp, as per an official statement, was organised at the Headquarters of Sub-Division Awantipora, where a large number of people participated and raised their concerns related to various government departments.

On the occasion, multiple departments set up help desks to facilitate on-the-spot grievance redressal, beneficiary registration and service delivery under flagship welfare schemes. Officers from Revenue, Health, Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, Social Welfare, Employment, Labour, Animal Husbandry, NRLM, J&K Bank and other departments were present to address public grievances and provide necessary assistance.

Meanwhile, multi-departmental grievance redressal camps at Panchayat level were organised at Aripal, Noorpora, Kakapora, Sangerwani, Ladermar, Wagam, Konibal Gangooo, Nikas and Lalpora.

These camps aimed at taking governance to the doorstep of the people by ensuring accessibility of government services, resolving local issues in a time-bound manner, and spreading awareness about ongoing welfare schemes. The camps witnessed active participation from line departments and locals, who benefitted from on-the-spot facilitation and grievance resolution.

Further, the Labour Department, in collaboration with the Health Department, organised a special Grievance Redressal-cum-Medical Camp for workers at IGC Lassipora. The camp facilitated on-the-spot redressal of labour-related grievances and educated workers about labour rights and various assistance schemes of the department. On-the-spot enrolment under different social security schemes was also carried out.

In addition, workers were provided free medical check-ups, ensuring both administrative and health-related support under one platform.

The activities under the “Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign will continue across the district in the coming days with similar programmes planned across District.
