DODA, DECEMBER 20: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh Saturday flagged off a Patient Transport Ambulance for Sub District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah provided by the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The flag-off ceremony, as per an official statement, was held in the presence of Independent Director Steel Authority of India, Advocate Manjeet Razdan; Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah, Sunil Kumar Bhutyal; Chief Planning Officer, Manesh Kumar Manhas; Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Tanvir Ahmed; Block Medical Officer Bhaderwah, Dr. Varsha Sharma and other senior health department officials.

The Deputy Commissioner welcomed the Steel Authority of India for its valuable contribution towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the district. He further emphasized that such CSR initiatives play a vital role in supplementing government efforts to provide accessible, timely and quality healthcare services to the people. The DC expressed hope that the ambulance would be optimally utilized to ensure prompt transportation of patients, particularly during medical emergencies, thereby reducing response time and improving overall healthcare delivery in the sub-division.
