SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 7: In a significant step towards ensuring responsive
governance, the district administration Shopian organized a Grievance
Redressal Camp at Zainapora Tuesday.
The camp, chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian,
Shishir Gupta, witnessed enthusiastic participation from local
residents, senior citizens, youth, and village representatives.
During the interactive session, locals raised various issues,
including infrastructure development, healthcare, education,
irrigation, power supply, and welfare schemes.
DDC listened attentively to the grievances and issued on-the-spot
directions to concerned officers for timely redressal.
Emphasizing the administration’s commitment to efficient public
service delivery and transparency, the DDC stated that such camps
would be conducted across all blocks and tehsils to bridge the gap
between the administration and the public.
He reviewed the progress of government schemes like PMAY, MGNREGA, Jal
Jeevan Mission, and Mission Yuva, directing officers to ensure
saturation of social security schemes and follow up on pending cases.
The DDC urged the public to actively participate in developmental
processes and maintain coordination with line departments for
effective scheme implementation. He assured that genuine grievances
would be addressed in a time-bound manner with regular follow-ups.
Locals expressed gratitude to the District Administration for
providing a direct platform for their voices to be heard.
The camp underscored the administration’s commitment to public-centric
governance and its resolve to address the concerns of the people in a
timely and effective manner.
Senior officers, including Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Zakir
Hussain; Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bilal Ahmed; Tehsildar, and BDO
Zainapora, were present and took note of the issues raised.
