Fresh cases recommended for compassionate appointment under SRO-43

BARAMULLA, OCTOBER 08: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa Wednesday convened a meeting of the District Level Screening-cum-Coordination Committee (DLSCC) at the DC Office Baramulla to review 31 cases filed under SRO-43 by the next of kin (NoKs) of militancy-affected victims.

The meeting was aimed at ensuring the timely and transparent disposal of compassionate appointment cases and extending due support to the families affected by militancy in the district.

After detailed scrutiny, 10 cases were approved, 11 sent for reverification, and 10 cases were rejected during the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC emphasized the need for speedy and transparent processing of such cases to ensure that victim families receive timely relief. He directed the concerned officers to expedite verification and documentation of the remaining cases and ensure their disposal in a time-bound manner.

The Committee also recommended fresh cases of eligible individuals from Baramulla district to the Government for consideration of compassionate appointments under SRO-43, in line with the laid down norms and procedures.

The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Baramulla Gurinderpal Singh, Superintendent of Police Sopore, senior officers from the Army, BSF, CRPF, and other concerned departments and agencies.
