DODA, JANUARY 06: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Harvinder Singh Tuesday chaired a review meeting here in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex, to assess the progress achieved under the Mission Yuva Scheme.

The meeting, as per an official statement, was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Roshan Lal; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Ashraf Pervaz; Chief Planning Officer, Manesh Kumar; General Manager, DIC, Mohd Ashfaq Khanji; Cluster Manager JK Bank, Kumar Sorab; District Social Welfare Officer, Zubair Ahmed and Assistant Director Employment. The Sub-Divisional Magistrates Thathri, Gandoh and Assar, Principal GDCs and other concerned officers participated through virtual mode.

The meeting reviewed pending credit applications, capacity building of applicants through identified colleges, post-sanction handholding support, setup and hiring of SBDU infrastructure and on-boarding of Lakhpati Didi into Mission Yuva.

The DDC directed the Employment Department to ensure timely scrutiny and clearance of all pending cases, intensifying outreach for capacity-building programmes and provisioning of continuous post-sanction support to beneficiaries so that enterprises established under the scheme become viable and sustainable.

The JK Bank Manager was directed to accelerate the processing and disbursement of pending loan cases, maintain close coordination with the District Employment and Industries Departments and promptly address issues causing delays in credit linkage.

Stressing the need for effective hand holding after sanction, the DC directed the concerned departments to provide market linkage, mentoring and technical guidance to beneficiaries to enhance success rates and income generation.

The SDMs and other officers were directed to closely monitor the scheme at the grassroots level, ensure effective mobilization of potential beneficiaries including women and youth and regularly review progress in their respective jurisdictions.
