DC Doda finalises arrangements for Republic Day 2026

Doda, 09 Jan: Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh on Friday convened a review meeting in the Conference Hall-DC Office Complex to finalize the necessary arrangements for the smooth celebration of Republic Day 2026. The meeting finalized Sports Stadium as the venue for the District Level Event

 

The meeting was attended by SSP Sandeep Kumar Mehta; ADDC   Roshan Lal; ADC Anil Kumar Thakur, besides other district and sectoral officers. Several officers also participated through virtual mode. Detailed discussions were held on parade arrangements, cultural programmes, seating plans, traffic regulation, sanitation, electricity, drinking water, health services and overall venue management.

 

The Deputy Commissioner asked officers to adhere strictly to timelines and ensure seamless inter-departmental coordination. He instructed departments to ensure cleanliness of the venue, uninterrupted power and water supply, medical preparedness and effective traffic management on the day of the function.

 

The SSP assured foolproof security arrangements with adequate deployment of security personnel for crowd management, traffic control and strict surveillance to ensure a safe and incident-free celebration.
