Mission Vatsalya Bandipora celebrates National Youth Day

BANDIPORA, JANUARY 12: Mission Vatsalya Bandipora Monday celebrated National Youth Day with great enthusiasm and fervour at the Officers Academy of Science and Social Sciences, Bandipora, marking the birth anniversary of the great philosopher and youth icon Swami Vivekananda Ji.

The event, as per an official statement, witnessed the participation of a large gathering of students, teachers, academicians, intellectuals, media persons, and officials from various child protection institutions.

Officials from District Child Protection Unit , Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Juvenile Justice Board , Child Helpline and Child Helpdesk Bandipora were present, reflecting strong inter-departmental coordination for youth and child welfare.

Chairperson CWC Bandipora, in her address, emphasized the timeless teachings of Swami Vivekananda, urging youth to adopt values of discipline, self-confidence, and service to society. She stressed that the youth are the strongest pillar of the nation and play a decisive role in shaping its future.

Protection Officer, DCPU Bandipora, spoke on the responsibilities of young people in nation-building and encouraged students to channelize their energy positively through education, innovation, and social responsibility. He also highlighted the role of Mission Vatsalya in safeguarding the rights and well-being of children and adolescents.

Coodinator CHL addressed the gathering and highlighted Swami Vivekananda Ji’s vision of empowered, educated, and morally strong youth. He underlined that today’s youth must balance modern education with ethical values to contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.

To actively engage students, several activities were organized, including a quiz programme and a painting competition, which saw enthusiastic participation from students. The activities aimed at promoting awareness about youth empowerment, national values, and the legacy of Swami Vivekananda Ji.

On the occasion, students, faculty members, and administrators of the Officers Academy of Science and Social Sciences, along with officials of Mission Vatsalya Bandipora, were felicitated in recognition of their contributions towards education, child protection, and youth development.

The programme concluded with a collective commitment of Mission Vatsalya and partnering institutions to nurture responsible, empowered, and socially conscious youth for a stronger nation.
