DODA, OCTOBER 10: World Sight Day 2025 was observed at Government ANMT School Doda under the theme “Love Your Eyes.” The event was held under the banner of the District Blindness Control Society Doda.

Block Medical Officer Ghat Dr. Abdul Gafoor was the Resource person for the awareness event. He delivered an insightful lecture covering various aspects of eye care, causes of preventable blindness and the importance of regular eye check-ups. He emphasized that timely screening, early detection and proper eye care practices can prevent nearly 80% of visual impairments, urging everyone to make eye health a personal priority and spread awareness at the community level.

Among the attendees were  Rishi Pandita (Head Phst), Mohd Shafi Attu (Health Educator), Mohd Saleem Banday (Sr. Assistant), Saima Kousar (Sister Tutor) and Azhar Iqbal Butt.

Earlier, the event began with a welcome address by Faizan A. Tramboo, who highlighted the significance of observing World Sight Day and the importance of eye health awareness in the community.

 The overall coordination and management of the programme were handled by Dealing Assistant NPCB&VI Mohammad Umar.
