DC Kulgam reviews developmental projects in Qaimoh

Kulgam, Jan 13: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan on Tuesday conducted an on-site inspection of various developmental projects in the Qaimoh area to review their progress and ensure timely completion.

 

During the visit, the DC inspected the under-construction steel girder bridge at Sakarsum Kawaki Bazar, Qaimoh, a key infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity in the area.

 

He directed the executing agency to expedite the remaining work and strictly adhere to the stipulated timelines.

 

It was  informed that the project involves the construction of a 1×33 metre span intermediate lane steel girder bridge at an estimated cost of Rs 6.10 crore, with the current physical progress at 80 percent.

 

The DC also reviewed the progress of the Construction of Library-cum-reading room at Qaimoh, being executed at an allotted cost of Rs 41.72 lakh.

 

It was informed that the  project commenced in December 2024 and is expected to be completed by February 2026, with the current physical progress at 95 percent.

 

Further, the DC took stock of the Construction of 50-bedded Sub-District Hospital at Qaimoh, Kulgam, being executed at cost of Rs 19.32 crore. The DC was informed  that the civil part of the project has been completed.

 

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress of works on the R&B PWD Complex. He issued directions to the concerned departments to ensure quality execution and early completion of all ongoing works so that these facilities can be dedicated to the public at the earliest.

 

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by ACR, ACD, Executive Engineers, Tehsildars, and other concerned officers.
