KULGAM, JANUARY 15: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, on Thursday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of Mission YUVA in the district.

The meeting involved a detailed, component-wise review of all verticals under the mission to ensure effective implementation and timely achievement of targets.

During the review, progress under key components including Credit, Capacity Building, Output Tracking, Udyam Jagriti, Hiring of Motivators, functioning of Small Business Development Units (SBDU) and Business Help Desks (BHD), Sanctions, and Disbursements was thoroughly assessed.

Detailed discussions were held on achievements, pendency, and bottlenecks across each vertical.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for expeditious processing of cases, enhanced coordination with banks, and timely sanctions and disbursement of financial assistance.

He stressed the importance of strengthening output tracking and post-sanction handholding to ensure sustainability and long-term success of enterprises established under the mission.

Special focus was laid on Udyam Jagriti and awareness campaigns to maximize outreach and bring more eligible youth under the ambit of Mission YUVA.

The functioning of SBDUs and BHDs was also reviewed, with instructions issued to further improve efficiency, accountability, and grassroots-level service delivery.

The meeting was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Noorabad, SBDU members, Career Counselling Officer (CCO), DE&CC Kulgam, BHD members, and other concerned officials.
