UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 19: Additional District Development Commissioner Udhampur, Jugal Kishore Monday chaired a meeting of officers and field functionaries of the Rural Development Department to review the progress of Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin and Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan in the district.
The meeting, as per an official statement, was convened to assess the implementation status, physical and financial progress and the on-ground impact of works being executed under SBM-G and RGSA across the district.
The ADDC took detailed stock of the progress of Panchayat Ghar construction works taken up in the current financial year (2025-26). He exhorted officers and field functionaries to ensure close monitoring and timely completion of the SBM-G works to further strengthen rural sanitation.
The BDOs were instructed to identify land for the construction of a Decentralised Wastewater Treatment System (DEWATS) unit in each block by January 29, 2026. He further asked them to identify land for the construction of Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants (FSTPs) in coordination with the concerned Tehsildars.
Reviewing the expenditure status on the assets, the ADDC directed for 100 percent utilization of funds by this month end.
