Udhampur, Oct 04: The District Veterinary Hospital Udhampur marked World Animal Day with a series of impactful events focused on animal welfare, direct aid and community awareness.
The celebration encompassed treatment and rehabilitation services for animals, a donation drive for animal welfare and educational outreach to animal owners regarding good animal health practices. The event was spearheaded by Dr. Shevatambri Khajuria, the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Udhampur.
The day’s activities included an animal welfare event providing direct help to animals. This involved treatment and rehabilitation services offered at the animal shelters of local bodies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), ensuring immediate care for animals in need. Additionally, a significant animal welfare donation drive was conducted, collecting money, food and clothing to support ongoing animal care efforts.
A crucial component of the celebration was the awareness campaign aimed at educating animal owners on good animal health practices, promoting responsible pet ownership and preventative care.
