Srinagar, Oct 11: Highlighting the dedication and readiness of Border Security Force (BSF) recruits, IG STC Kashmir, Solomon Yash Kumar Minz, IPS, on Saturday shared BSF, being the first line of defence, has not only been guarding the borders effectively since its inception but has also made significant contributions in fighting foreign-sponsored terrorism and internal militancy with unparalleled valour and steely determination.

He added that close cooperation and coordination among different security agencies is necessary to eliminate terrorism and narco-terror threats that emanate across the borders.

“The BSF, with an efficient mechanism and response system, is fully prepared to meet these mammoth challenges,” IG STC Kashmir, Solomon Yash said.

IG Minz also appreciated the recruits’ “excellent display of self-confidence and picture-perfect coordination,” calling it the high point of the parade.

He congratulated them for choosing the BSF as a career and urged them to serve the nation with courage and enthusiasm.

He further lauded STC Kashmir and its instructional staff for their efforts in transforming raw youths into disciplined and confident Seema Praharis, saying,

“The training provided here has instilled self-confidence and professionalism in every recruit. I bless them with a bright future in life and service ahead.”

He was speaking during the passing out parade and attestation ceremony of 167 recruit constables (Tradesmen) of Batch No. 44 at the Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) Humhama, where the young recruits from across India took their first step into national service as Seema Praharis.

The ceremony also saw medals and trophies awarded to the best-performing recruits, including Parade Commander Amit Chandel, who was adjudged best in drill.

Over 44 weeks of rigorous training, the recruits honed their skills in weapon handling, firing, law, drill and border management, while also enhancing their physical and mental capabilities, preparing them to serve the nation in both peace and war—(KNO)
