Jammu, Oct 13: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh Monday said that Jammu and Kashmir has received special attention from the Government of India over the past 11 years since Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power.

Dr Singh was present with the three BJP candidates nominated for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections when they filed their nomination papers.

Speaking to reporters, he said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded three candidates and expressed full confidence of winning all the three seats and ensuring strong representation for Jammu and Kashmir in the Upper House of Parliament.

He said the Rajya Sabha holds a significant place in the country’s democratic system, as it traditionally sends experienced individuals for representation.

“Over the past 11 years, since Modi Ji became the Prime Minister, Jammu and Kashmir has been given special priority. Under the leadership of the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved. Our caravan has once again set out on the path of prosperity,” Dr. Singh said.

He added that strong representation in both Houses of Parliament is essential for safeguarding the interests of future generations, strengthening the Prime Minister’s hands, and ensuring that the voice of Jammu and Kashmir reaches the highest levels.

“Jammu and Kashmir is moving towards normalcy. Our children are now achieving top positions. They are excelling in all competitive exams, whether in civil services, NET, JEE, or startups,” Dr. Singh said.

He noted that last week, a startup program was held in Jammu and Kashmir to encourage innovation among youth. “Our children have always been intelligent, but their potential was held back. Now, the world has started to realize that the era when India followed others is over. Today, India leads by example,” he said.

Dr. Singh said India’s success stories are being acknowledged globally. “Our best practices are being emulated worldwide, whether in the space sector or in vaccine production. Even today, India supplies vaccines to 200 countries. If you look at our warfare capabilities or advancements in electronics and quantum technology, the world now accepts that the coming era belongs to India,” he said—(KNO)
