Govt Polytechnic Reasi organises Annual Sports Day

REASI, OCTOBER 18: Government Polytechnic Reasi organised on Saturday Annual Sports Day on the College campus, featuring Badminton, Chess, Carrom, Table-tennis and Volleyball competitions.

The tournaments commenced in the institute on October 13 on knockout basis prior to the interdepartmental tournament.

The Principal Er. Arun Bangotra was the chief guest at the final matches of the interdepartmental tournament.

Speaking on the occasion, he encouraged all participants to take part in the sports activities to stay fit and healthy and imbibe sportsmanship and leadership spirit.

The event commenced with the trials in all categories to identify the most skilled players. A number of matches were organised across multiple disciplines to determine the finalists. As many as 56 students participated in Badminton tournament’ 40 in Carrom, 15 in Chess 40 and several teams in Volleyball.

Earlier, the participants took a solemn sportsmanship pledge led by the institution sports secretary Ajay Dogra, reaffirming to uphold fairness and integrity on the field.
