Srinagar, Oct 23: Ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections, the National Conference on Thursday issued a three-line whip to its MLAs, directing them to cast their votes in favour of the party’s official candidates and to refrain from abstaining or voting against party instructions.
In the whip issued by the NC’s Chief Whip, Mubarak Gul, a copy of which is in possession of news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), MLAs have been instructed to remain present in the Assembly tomorrow, the scheduled day for Rajya Sabha polling, and to vote in favour of the party’s nominated candidates.
They have also been explicitly directed not to abstain, remain absent, or vote contrary to the party’s directions—(KNO)
