ANANTNAG, NOVEMBER 06: As part of the Sardar@150 celebrations, Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) in collaboration with the District Administration Anantnag along with NSS Wings of various Degree Colleges and Higher Secondary Schools, organized a Padyatra (Unity March) from Shaheed Humayun Muzammil Memorial, Government Degree College(GDC) to Khanabal Bridge Thursday.

The march was held to honour the legacy and contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, in commemoration of his 150th Birth Anniversary.

Flagged off by the Member of Parliament (RS), Ghulam Ali Khatana, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, the march witnessed enthusiastic participation from senior officers of civil and police administration, officials of various departments, students, NYK, NSS, and BSG volunteers besides members from civil society and the general public.

The march passed through the main road before culminating at Khanabal Bridge; the participants carrying Tricolour high and aloft reflecting a sense of collective pride and resilience.

During the march, local artists presented musical performances on patriotic themes creating a cheerful and vibrant atmosphere.

Speaking on the occasion, the MP paid rich tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for his pivotal role in unification of the country and highlighted his glorious efforts in strengthening national unity and integrity. He urged the youth to imbibe Sardar Patel’s vision and work for unity and harmony.

The Unity March concluded with the resolve to uphold the values of national unity, integrity, and harmony embodied by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

ADC, ASP, ACR, CEO, Dy Director MY Bharat and other senior officers also marked their presence and joined the march in unison.
