BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 7: A meeting of Micro Observers for the upcoming Bye-Elections to 27–Assembly Constituency Budgam was Friday held in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Budgam.

The meeting was chaired by the General Observer, Bhor Singh Yadav, and was attended by the Deputy District Election Officer (Dy. DEO) Budgam, Hilal Ahmad; ANO Trainings  Zahoor Ahmad, and other officials associated with the election process.

During the meeting, ANO Trainings conducted an elaborate session on the roles, responsibilities, and duties of Micro Observers to be deployed during the forthcoming bye-election.

The participants were sensitized about their critical role in ensuring transparency, fairness, and smooth conduct of the polling process.

It was emphasised that Micro Observers act as the eyes and ears of the Election Commission of India (ECI) at the polling stations and are expected to perform their duties with utmost integrity, neutrality, and vigilance.

The General Observer reiterated that all Micro Observers must strictly adhere to the guidelines and instructions issued by the Election Commission of India, ensuring that the polling process is conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner.

Clear instructions were given to all Micro Observers to remain impartial, vigilant, and to report any irregularity or violation of the Model Code of Conduct immediately to the concerned authorities.

The meeting also held a detailed interaction session, during which queries from the participants were addressed and clarifications regarding polling procedures and reporting mechanisms were provided.
