DC Kulgam reviews progress under CDF

KULGAM, NOVEMBER 10: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan Monday chaired a review meeting at the Mini Secretariat, Kulgam, to assess the progress of developmental works being executed under the District Capex Budget 2025–26 and Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

The meeting was attended by key officers and sectoral heads who reviewed physical and financial progress, discussed bottlenecks, and examined the status of works under execution across various departments.

The DC directed officers to ensure 100% utilization of available funds, timely completion of ongoing projects, and proper utilization of the working season to achieve maximum progress on the ground.

He instructed the RDD and other departments to speed up execution and complete all tendering and allotment of works within three days.

Emphasizing transparency, quality, and adherence to timelines, the DC said that effective resource utilization and strict monitoring are vital for the timely creation of public assets.

He also directed departments lagging behind, to expedite work, focus on people-centric projects, and ensure third-party quality checks for accountability.

A block-wise review of CDF works was also conducted with respective BDOs, along with an assessment of financial and physical progress under the Capex Budget.

The DC added that no compromise on quality will be tolerated and directed all executing agencies to make full use of the current working season and complete all pending projects within set timelines.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Malik Suheel; Executive Engineers from PWD, Jal Shakti, KPDCL, and officers from Agriculture, Education, Youth Services & Sports, Health, and other departments.
