SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 10: Mission Shakti Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (MSEW), Shopian, under the banner of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Monday organised an awareness programme at Government Higher Secondary School, Zainapora.
The event was graced by SDM Zainapora, Bilal Ahmad as the Chief Guest, who appreciated the sincere efforts of Mission Shakti for conducting such awareness programmes aimed at promoting the education and empowerment of girls. He emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring that every girl child receives equal opportunities in education and personal growth.
The Principal of Government Higher Secondary School, Zainapora, Farooq Ahmad Shah, who was the Guest of Honour on the occasion, lauded the initiative and encouraged students to become ambassadors of change in society.
Several resource persons and speakers highlighted the significance of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, discussing women’s rights, gender equality, and the need to nurture the potential of young girls for a stronger and more inclusive future.
As part of the programme, a painting competition was also organised, where students showcased their creativity and ideas on the theme of “Empowered Girls, Empowered Nation.” The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where participants and winners were honoured with certificates and mementos.
The programme received an overwhelming response and was appreciated by students, teachers, and locals for spreading awareness and inspiring collective action towards women empowerment.
