BANDIPORA, NOVEMBER 15: Under the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), the College NCORD Cell in collaboration with the NSS Units of HKM Government Degree College Bandipora on Saturday organized an Awareness Session on Drug Menace.
The programme was inaugurated by the Officiating Principal, Dr. Mubashir Hamid Mir, who highlighted the alarming rise in drug consumption and its slow yet pervasive spread in society. He elaborated on the social, cultural, economic, and physical consequences of drug abuse, stressing the collective responsibility of educational institutions in curbing this menace.
The Convener NCORD Cell, provided insightful details on the regional spread of drug addiction and emphasized the importance of awareness, timely counselling, and community participation as effective tools for eradication.
On the occasion, Enthusiastic students actively participated in the event by displaying anti-drug posters and joining the faculty members in taking a pledge against drug addiction, vowing not to indulge in or promote any substance abuse.
