ANANTNAG, NOVEMBER 19: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Anantnag, SKUAST-K, Wednesday organized a live webcasting event across the district as the Prime Minister released the 21st instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme.
At KVK Anantnag, the programme was attended by MLA Shangus Anantnag East, Riyaz Ahmad Khan, who lauded the PM-KISAN initiative and acknowledged the vital role played by KVK Anantnag in uplifting the farming community. He emphasized that KVK Anantnag is emerging as a nucleus for agricultural and allied sector development in the region, owing to its consistent outreach and impactful interventions.
The MLA praised the dedicated efforts of the KVK-Anantnag team in advancing rural livelihoods and strengthening agriculture through scientific knowledge, capacity building, and farmer-centric programmes.
Earlier, the Head KVK Anantnag and a team of scientists conducted an awareness session focusing on key government flagship schemes, climate-smart agriculture practices, Cluster Front Line Demonstrations (CFLDs) on oilseeds, capacity building of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and the promotion of Natural Farming.
Farmers actively participated and appreciated the initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, sustainability, and income generation.
