Inspects key infrastructure projects
KUPWARA, NOVEMBER 20: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse Thursday held an extensive tour of Tehsil Zachaldara to review the ongoing developmental works and functioning of different departments.
During the tour, The DC was accompanied by ADC Handwara, Javaid Naseem Masoodi and concerned officers.
The Deputy Commissioner visited Community Health Centre (CHC) Zachaldara and inspected different sections of the hospital including OPD, X-Ray, Laboratory, Pharmacy etc.He also took feedback from patients and attendants regarding services provided at CHC. He also interacted with the general public in a Medical Camp organised at the CHC.
During the tour, the DC inspected ongoing construction of Bakihaker bridge on Talri nallah. He was informed that the bridge is being constructed at a cost of Rs.9.13 crore by R&B department and shall be completed by the end of next year. He also visited the Bakihaker Playground, the upgradation of which was recently approved by the Youth Services & Sports department. Besides, the DC also inspected ongoing construction of buildings of Tehsil Office Zachaldara and Rural Development Department.
On the occasion, the DC stressed upon the officers and executing agencies to ensure completion of all these infrastructural projects within the stipulated time frame with adherence to quality standards.
During the tour, the DC visited Government Middle School Zachaldara and took stock of the ongoing enrollment drive in the school.
At BHSS Zachaldara, the DC chaired a grievance redressal camp during which he met various public deputations from different areas of Tehsil Zachaldara and heard their grievances.
