BARAMULLA, NOVEMBER 21: A Mega Sports Festival was inaugurated at the Mini Stadium Kunzer by MLA Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah and Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa.
As part of the programme, the District Administration inaugurated the new floodlight facility at the stadium, allowing sports activities to be conducted during evening hours as well. The installation of floodlights fulfills a long-pending demand of local sportspersons and represents an important step in improving sports facilities in the area.
A cricket match was organised under the newly installed lights, which drew a large number of people from the surrounding areas. Residents and sportspersons expressed their appreciation to the MLA and the DC for making this facility available.
Later, the MLA and DC distributed Cricket kits among different participating teams on the occasion.
