Jammu, Nov 24:  Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah paid tribute to veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, who passed away on Monday.

“In the passing away of Shri Dharmendra Ji, the film industry has lost one of its most successful icons, who entertained several generations of Indians with his riveting performances. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. I pray for peace of the departed soul,” Office of LG, J&K wrote on X.

As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Abdullah described Dharmendra as a “friend of Jammu and Kashmir” who kept his date with the picturesque region through film shoots and holiday trips till 1987-88.

He remembered Dharmendra’s contribution to Bollywood and said his death is a big loss for the film industry. (KNO)
