Samvidhan Divas 2025 : DC Budgam reviews arrangements

BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 24: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Monday convened a detailed preparatory meeting to review arrangements for the celebration of Samvidhan Divas (Constitution Day), which will be observed across the district on 26th November 2025.

On the occasion, the DC assessed department-wise preparedness and finalized the schedule of activities to be conducted at the District Headquarters and all Sub-Divisions.

As part of the celebrations, the district administration will organise a ‘Run for Rights’, from the New Parking area Budgam to the DC Office Complex Budgam. The event aims to highlight the constitutional values of equality, justice, liberty, and fraternity.

The run will be followed by a Preamble Reading Ceremony. Subsequently, a documentary on constitutional values and history will be screened for participants, after which an online quiz will be conducted to encourage broader public engagement and awareness regarding the Constitution.

The DC directed all line departments to ensure seamless coordination, adequate logistical support, security arrangements, medical facilities, and wide community participation.

He stressed that the programme must reflect the spirit of the Constitution and promote civic understanding among citizens, especially youth and students.

The DC further instructed that similar programmes be organised in all sub-divisions, colleges, Schools etc to ensure district-wide participation in the national event.

He emphasised timely finalization of routes, traffic regulation, digital arrangements for the online quiz, and communication of the programme schedule to educational institutions and the general public.

The DC urged officers to work in synergy to make the Constitution Day celebrations vibrant, informative, and inclusive, honouring the vision of the founding fathers of the nation.

The DC directed officers for ensuring full preparedness and active support for the successful observance of Samvidhan Divas 2025 across Budgam district.

Besides, ADC Budgam, Mehraj-ud-din Shah, CPO Budgam, CEO MC Budgam, CEO Budgam, ACP CMO, DIO Information, DSWO, DIO Informatics, EOs of all MCs , and representatives from forest department were present in meeting.
