He encouraged stakeholders to organise more training and awareness programmes in the region and advised participants to visit the official National Jute Board and Jute Mark India websites for detailed information on schemes, registration and support mechanisms.

In her address, ADC, Ansuya Jamwal appreciated the programme and said that the workshop provided an effective platform to spread awareness about Government of India’s initiatives in the jute sector. “It is encouraging to see the National Jute Board providing handholding and facilitation to entrepreneurs and prospective jute processing and trading units,” she added. He said that the Jute Mark serves as an assurance of quality and origin, helping buyers identify genuine jute products and promoting trust in jute-based goods both in domestic and global markets.

The Secretary informed that Jammu has hosted one of the first such workshops in the country and similar events are planned across India to boost awareness and participation under the scheme. He also informed that the Jute Mark label is currently available free of cost and any eligible manufacturer or business adhering to the quality and content standards prescribed by the National Jute Board can register to use the mark on their products.
