SSP Masroor Ahmed Mir recognised for meritorious contribution to disaster response

Srinagar, Dec 06: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has conferred the prestigious Director General’s Gold Disc and Commendation Certificate upon Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Masroor Ahmed Mir, Commandant 1st Battalion, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Srinagar, for his exemplary service and outstanding leadership in disaster management and civil protection.

The honour, as per the details collected by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), was announced during the 63rd Annual Day of Civil Defence & Home Guards, observed in New Delhi. SDRF personnel from across the country were recognised for distinguished service in the fields of fire safety, civil defence and home guards.

Officials, said the award acknowledged SSP Mir’s significant contributions to strengthening SDRF’s operational preparedness, quick response and rescue capabilities in Jammu and Kashmir. (KNO)
