It enables efficient disaster response, as seen during recent cloudbursts, thereby saving lives and reinforcing the state’s commitment to its citizens. When a remote village gains reliable road access, it gains access to markets, healthcare, and education – fundamentally altering its developmental trajectory. The BRO’s achievement, completed ahead of schedule using indigenously developed expertise, is also a triumph of the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ mission. It demonstrates a newfound institutional confidence to execute complex projects in extreme conditions.
