Trains 142 entrepreneurs, aspirants across J&K

JAMMU, DECEMBER 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) on Thursday successfully concluded a series of Capacity Building Programmes (CBPs) in hybrid mode for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs under Mission YUVA across 12 districts of the Union Territory.

Conducted between December 01 and 11, 2025, the hybrid-mode capacity building programs covered Budgam, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Bandipora, Jammu, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, and Anantnag, witnessing enthusiastic participation from youth and emerging entrepreneurs. The initiative reflects a growing shift towards inclusive and opportunity-driven entrepreneurship across Jammu & Kashmir. During these CBPs, 142 aspiring and existing entrepreneurs were covered across 12 districts of the Union Territory.

Over the 10-day training period, participants underwent intensive classroom sessions, sector-specific and video lectures, hands-on workshops, and expert interactions. The programmes focused on strengthening managerial, financial, and strategic capabilities to help entrepreneurs scale operations, enhance competitiveness, and build sustainable enterprises.

The curriculum was tailored to provide practical, actionable knowledge on opportunity identification, business plan formulation, financial literacy, market analysis, branding, regulatory compliance, and accessing government support schemes. Sessions were conducted by JKEDI faculty alongside industry specialists, ensuring interactive and outcome-oriented learning.

Mission YUVA (Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan) is a flagship initiative aimed at promoting entrepreneurship-led employment across the Union Territory. It forms a key pillar of the Government’s commitment to empower youth, women, and other vulnerable groups by nurturing a strong ecosystem for innovation, startups, and enterprise development.

JKEDI reiterated its commitment to strengthening the entrepreneurial landscape in Jammu & Kashmir. Through Mission YUVA, the Institute continues to provide young entrepreneurs with the skills, confidence, and ecosystem support needed to generate new economic opportunities across the UT.
