RAMBAN, DECEMBER 15: Deputy Commissioner Ramban  Mohammad Alyas Khan Monday chaired a review meeting to assess the progress and implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) 3.0 in the district.

The meeting, as per an official statement, was attended by the Assistant Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Niamatullah Sheikh; Tehsildar Headquarters, Dr. Reejuta Mahajan; the District Nodal Officer of the Oil Marketing Company; and representatives of LPG dealerships operating in the district.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the overall performance of the scheme with a special focus on key performance indicators. He emphasized the importance of Aadhaar seeding and completion of e-KYC for all LPG connection holders, including beneficiaries covered under PM Ujjwala Yojana, to ensure transparency and effective delivery of benefits.

The Deputy Commissioner issued clear directions to achieve 100 percent Aadhaar seeding and e-KYC compliance across the district. He instructed LPG dealers to identify and closely track beneficiaries whose Aadhaar seeding or e-KYC is pending and to take proactive steps to cover them within the stipulated time frame.

Taking note of the approaching harsh winter season and the increased demand for LPG, the Deputy Commissioner also directed all LPG dealers to maintain adequate buffer stock at their respective agencies. This would help prevent shortages and ensure uninterrupted supply of LPG cylinders to households, particularly in remote and snow-bound areas of the district, he added.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed the concerned departments to ensure effective implementation of PM Ujjwala Yojana 3.0, a key welfare scheme, and to ensure that its benefits reach every eligible household in a timely and efficient manner.
