Reviews expansion alignment, playfield proposal
SHOPIAN, DECEMBER, 16: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta Tuesday conducted a field visit to Mughal Road and Sedow area to review the proposed expansion of the Mughal Road and development of playfield.
During the inspection, the DC reviewed multiple alignment options being explored for widening and upgradation of the road from Shopian to Pulwama. Detailed discussions were held with engineers and revenue officers on land availability, road safety measures, minimising impact on environment and other pre execution necessities.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to conduct comprehensive technical and environmental assessments and submit detailed reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
Later, the DC visited Sedow area to review the proposal for development of a playfield. While interacting with officers on site, the DC highlighted the need for quality sports infrastructure to promote physical fitness, channelise youth energy in a positive direction and encourage local talent. Instructions were issued to expedite necessary formalities and feasible plan preparation for early execution of the playfield project.
