DODA, DECEMBER 18: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh Thursday chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee on Change of Land Use (CLU) to review and decide upon the applications received from different parts of the district.

During the meeting, five CLU cases were taken up for discussion of which four were approved after detailed scrutiny. Each case was examined thoroughly to verify compliance with the provisions applicable under rules and regulations.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that all CLU applications must be processed in a transparent, objective and time-bound manner to promote planned development and curb unauthorized land conversion.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed the concerned departments to expedite verification processes, maintain accurate and complete documentation, and strengthen inter-departmental coordination to ensure prompt and error-free disposal of cases.

He further stressed the need to strike a balance between developmental requirements, environmental sustainability and the protection of agricultural land.

The meeting was attended by the ADC, DFO, CEO Bhaderwah Development Authority, CPO, concerned Tehsildars, Executive Engineers (XENs) and other revenue and departmental officials.
