Army Commander praises troops’ professional excellence, adaptability

Visits LoC, asks soldiers to stay mission ready 

Jammu, Dec 19: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of Army’s Northern Command on Friday commended the troops for their professional excellence and adaptability, forged through rigorous and innovative training.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the GOC-in-C visited forward areas in Shahsitar, Surankote, to assess the operational preparedness of units engaged in counter-terrorism operations.

While addressing the soldiers, Lieutenant General Sharma emphasized the importance of maintaining mission readiness amid emerging security challenges. “We need to stay mission ready for emerging challenges by incorporating technology & integration with other agencies,” he said.

The GOC-in-C commended the troops for their professional excellence and adaptability, forged through rigorous and innovative training.

Lt Gen Sharma praised the soldiers for their unwavering dedication, high state of alertness, and professionalism while operating in challenging terrain and dynamic threat environments.

During the visit, Lt Gen Sharma was briefed on ongoing counter-terrorism tasks and measures to strengthen the security grid in the hinterland region of Poonch district, a strategically sensitive area along the Line of Control (LoC).

“Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, #ArmyCdrNC, visited Shahsitar, #Surankote to assess the operational readiness of units deployed for counter terrorism tasks,” the official Northern Command account stated. (KNO)
