SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 19: Director Agriculture Kashmir, Sartaj Ahmad Shah Friday visited vegetable Seed Multiplication Farm Tapar Kreeri Baramulla and took stock of different agriculture activities there.
He visited different sections of the Farm and reviewed the various interventions adopted there.
Speaking to the concerned officers, Director Agriculture, as per an official statement, said that the departmental farms are the assets with the department and have an inevitable role to play amid the changing global agriculture scenario. He said these farms act as model demonstration centrs for the farmers. ‘Our immediate goal is to achieve the maximum output in terms of seed production of different agricultural crop from our departmental seed multiplication farms,’ he added.
The Director asked the concerned officers and technical experts to work on a mission mode so that all the set targets viz-a-via assured availablity of quality seeds of different vegetable/ agriculture crops to the farming community could be reached successfully.
