SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 19: The inaugural function of the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore–2025’ campaign was held Friday at the Conference Hall, Mini-Secretariat Shopian.
The programme, as per an official statement was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone.
The event was organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India and conducted in virtual mode. The campaign is being observed from December 19 to December 25, 2025 as part of Good Governance Week–2025. Senior officers of the district administration participated in the virtual inaugural session.
During the day one, Camps at the Panchayat level across the district, in about 14 panchayat halqas were held which were attended by field functionaries and local public.
Ensuring responsive and people-centric governance, grievance redressal camps were organised at the panchayat and tehsil levels to directly address public issues at the grassroots. These camps witnessed active participation from the local populace, who presented their grievances and concerns before the concerned officers.
During the camps, officers patiently heard the grievances on the spot and took immediate steps for their redressal wherever possible. Issues requiring further follow-up were duly noted.
Departments engaged in providing public services to the public and interacted with people on various welfare and developmental issues. Representatives of the departments sensitized the gatherings on different government schemes and initiatives.
The events were held under the supervision and presence of Tehsildars at Tehsil level and BDOs at the Panchayat level.
