Recommends fresh SRO-43 appointment cases for terror victims’ NoKs

Srinagar, Dec 20: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo on Saturday chaired a meeting of the District Level Screening-cum-Coordination Committee (DLSCC) here to examine fresh cases filed under SRO-43 by the next of kin (NoKs) of terror-affected victims in the district. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Sandeep Chakravarthy was present in the meeting.

The Committee undertook a comprehensive review of applications submitted under SRO-43 and assessed the eligibility of claimants for compassionate appointments and other means of relief in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.

The Committee conducted a comprehensive review comprehensive of the cases/claims submitted under SRO-43 by NoKs of those affected by terror related incidents in Srinagar District.

After a detailed scrutiny of the applications/cases, the Committee recommended fresh cases of Srinagar district to the Government for consideration for compassionate appointment under the provisions of SRO-43.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to ensure expeditious disposal of cases so that relief reaches victim families without further delay. The stakeholder departments were instructed to expedite the examination of remaining cases, complete all necessary formalities under rules and ensure timely verification to facilitate swift appointments in favour of the victim families.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Aadil Fareed; SP Headquarter, Umar Shah; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Umar Gulzar; all Tehsildars, and senior Officers from Security agencies, besides other concerned.
