DODA, DECEMBER 20: Director Mission HADP, Sandeep Kumar along with Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh Saturday visited the Chief Agriculture Office Complex to inspect the under-construction Pasteurised Compost Unit and Controlled Condition Mushroom Unit being developed by the Department of Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Doda.
During the visit, the officers, as per an official statement, reviewed the physical and financial progress of the projects and assessed their readiness to support scientific mushroom cultivation and value-added agri-enterprises in the district.
The Mission Director highlighted the importance of quality pasteurised compost and controlled environment infrastructure in enhancing mushroom productivity, ensuring year-round cultivation and improving farmers’ income under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).
The Deputy Commissioner Doda emphasized timely completion, adherence to quality standards and effective convergence with HADP/JKCIP initiatives to maximize benefits for farmers, youth and Krishi Udyamis.
Directions were issued to ensure capacity building, technical handholding and market linkage support for beneficiaries, with a focus on employment generation, import substitution and promotion of climate-resilient agriculture.
