ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 25: The week-long Good Governance Week, Sushasan Saptah-2025 organised under the Campaign “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” concluded in Anantnag Thursday.
On the last day, public outreach programmes featuring awareness of government schemes and grievance redressal were held at Dooru, Shahabad, Larnoo, Qazigund, Larkipora and other areas of the district.
During these programmes, officers from line departments provided detailed information about ongoing government schemes and good governance practices being adopted to enhance the delivery of public services.
The public provided valuable feedback on key government services and also put forth their grievances.
Notably, the Good Governance Week, which commenced on 19th December, witnessed extensive field outreach by the district administration wherein senior officers including ADDC, ACR, SDMs, ACD and others visited villages and far off places and interacted with citizens and civil society members regarding issues of development and public welfare schemes.
Additionally, sanction letters were handed over to the beneficiaries under different schemes of Agriculture, Horticulture, Social Welfare, ICDS, Rural Development, Health, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries and other Departments.
The week-long initiative saw enthusiastic participation from the general public who lauded the move as a significant step towards strengthening public service delivery and people-centric governance.
