SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 26: Veer Bal Diwas programme was held Friday at the Mini Secretariat, Shopian, in alignment with the national-level event organised in New Delhi by the District Administration involving Departments including Social Welfare, Education, Health and others.
The programme, as per an official statement, was presided over by the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone and was attended by officers and officials from various departments including Education, Health, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Social Welfare, Agriculture, Youth Services & Sports, Skill Development, and other allied departments.
Women Self-Help Groups, health functionaries, Anganwadi Workers, ASHA workers, children, public and other stakeholders also participated.
The national programme was screened live enabling all officers and officials present to participate collectively in the event.
While addressing the gathering, the ADDC stated that Veer Bal Diwas highlights the importance of nurturing values such as courage, discipline and moral strength.
