KULGAM, DECEMBER 29: To improve electricity supply in Kulgam town and adjoining areas, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan Monday inaugurated the newly created 11 KV Chattabal Power Feeder at Chawalgam.

The newly commissioned feeder, as per an official statement, has been segregated from the existing Chawalgam feeder with the objective of ensuring reliable and rationalised power distribution in Chawalgam and Chattabal areas, which had long been a demand of local residents.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the creation of new feeder will bring in rationalized electricity distribution and help improve the electricity supply significantly in Chattabal and Chawalgam areas.

Officials informed that the project will benefit residents of the surrounding areas by easing load pressure on existing feeders and enhancing overall power distribution efficiency.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Executive Engineer, KPDCL Kulgam, Assistant Executive Engineers, other concerned officers and locals.
