DC Poonch reviews SRO-43 cases at district-level committee meeting

POONCH, JANUARY 02: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma Friday chaired a meeting of the District Level Screening-cum-Coordination Committee in his office chamber to assess the SRO-43 cases of next of Kin of civilians and belt force personnel killed in the militancy related incidents.

The meeting, as per an official statement, was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police, Shafket Hussain Bhatt; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tahir Mustafa Malik; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mohammad Sayeed; representatives from BSF Khanetar, 6-Sector RR and other concerned officers.

The ADC gave a detailed briefing on the current status of each case. Discussing the cases, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for timely disposal of the same, noting that the affected families have high hopes from the government.

The DC also directed the concerned departments to adopt a proactive approach and ensure that all necessary formalities and verifications are completed well in time for SRO-43 cases.
